Every day, America loses about 1,500 veterans, and
with each goes a piece of our history. In response to this urgent need, Congress
created the Veterans History project in October 2000 , which calls on the American
Folklife Center at the Library of Congress to collect and preserve the oral histories
and documents of our war veterans. militarylife.com is a proud partner in this
project, and we invite your participation. For more information and to read our
collection of interviews, go to our Veterans History Project section.
